| this year is definitely interesting economic issues tax Obama: will raise taxes to the incomes over 250K most likely, capital gains will increase, so will death taxes after 2010, AMT will also go up most middle class will receive a tax break my key concern is longer term...with the reforms or the programs he proposes...taxes will have to increase McCain: will lower taxes, especially to small business ownders housing personally I haven't looked into this issue but i do know this needs to be looked at. Obama: McCain: wants to buy out loans straight out. i dont think this makes much sense. homebuyers don't have any financial responsibility healthcare Obama: more healthcare provided to lower class and special open stem cell research McCain: really no big change Nature/Environment Obama: McCain: Again, don't really know alot of this in detail, but I would trust the Dems here more than the Republicans who are all about GAS, OIL, etc Abortion Obama: will repeal third trisemester abortions McCain: will keep third trisemester abortions illegal Overall Govt spending: Obama: overall budget is $250K-$300K billion over budget and will just increase with programs McCain: will set govt spending limits. $150-200K billion over budget. Defense there's sort of been discussion here, but I would feel more comfortable with the Republicans here Obama has not voted for a lot of defense spending nor protecting military nor follwoing the advice of Generals on the field Obama: did not serve McCain: did serve for the US, vietnam vet and hanoi hilton resident World politics: I think both would do a good job here, although I think more would choose and opt and feel more comfortable with Obama. Obama McCain Running Mate Obama: Sen. Joe Biden- lots of exp, defense, military McCain: Gov. Sarah Palin- lil exp, yeah...thats about it.
I am still undecided. Definitely leaning to Obama
What I do want to say is that America wants change, but will Americans really change themselves will Americans be okay with higher taxes. we will need it will Americans be okay with the US Govt running so many different things when they already have messed them up either under a DEM or a REP President we will have to face some very big issues Global Warming and dependency on Oil Soc Security--it will run out, those under 40...there will be no SS for you. Economic changes - Balanced budget is needed. period! stop spending things on like wooden arrows. who proposed that to be added...really!?

| any guesses on who I'd vote for come election day?
if you want to know my previous voting record it's been mostly republican, but a few democrats as well.
i did vote from obama as my states Senator
i did vote for mccain twice in the primaries once in 00 and another this year.
I am still quite undecided. I am praying about it.
If you ask me about VP I would say overwhelmingly to Senator Biden to vote for Palin is to be crazy.
my VP candidate for the Republican party was Former Sec of State and Fmr Jt Chief Colin Powell Mitt Romney or Mike Huckabee would have been much better than Palin
please share with me why I should vote for one or the other
and yes...being Christian does not mean voting Republican.

| well...with all the recent fuss in the global and US financial markets, people start asking me questions about banks and so forth i'll try to provide some links 1) if you're worried about your specific bank and it's health, here are some links. http://www.bauerfinancial.com/btc_ratings.asp and http://www.bankrate.com/brm/safesound/ss_home.asp
if you're wondering about FDIC and how much it covers, the basics are $100K in cash $250K for your IRAs
the FDIC does provide a nice link to help you know how much is protected with all the different accounts in different banks to all of the joint accounts
